CONCEPTUAL PLANNING
- Define art program purpose
- Establish budget or assist in budget development
- Develop master schedule
- Establish communication procedures
DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
- Consult with Corporate Principles, Architect, Interior Design Team, Landscape Architect, or Private Collector
- Study plans and recommend and prioritize art locations
- Work with client to develop thematic direction, if appropriate
- Assist in developing criteria for purchase and commission of artworks
PRESENTATION
- Research sources: artists’ studios, art galleries, print publishers
- Conduct studio and gallery visits
- Recommend artwork options for project
MANAGEMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF ACQUISITIONS
- Develop and review commission proposals and contracts
- Interface with artists and design team - Monitor progress of commissions
- Specify and supervise framing, mounting, and installation of artworks
- Develop maintenance and conservation plans and procedures
- Provide visual documentation of installed artwork
